Conservation Projects
Conservation Award 2007
The North Yorkshire Moors Association invites applications from individuals, groups or organisations for its Conservation Award. Applicants should be carrying out work which will further the objectives for which the Park was designated, namely to "Conserve and enhance the natural and/or the built environment of the North York Moors". Examples of the kind of work which would be eligible are:
• Creation of a wetland for curlew or snipe
• Planting or improving an oak or ash woodland
• Restoring and finding a new use for a derelict farm building
• Restoring a historic feature
• Building a new environmentally-friendly structure
• which fits in to the Park's environment
