  Conservation Awards 2011

The North York Moors Association invites applications from individuals, groups or
organisations for its Conservation Award. Applicants should be carrying out work
furthering the objectives for which the Park was designated, namely to “ Conserve and enhance the natural and /or the built environment of the North York Moors”. Examples of the kind of work which would be eligible are:

Creation of a wetland for curlew or snipe
Planting or improving an oak or ash woodland
Restoring and finding use for a derelict farm building
Restoring a historic feature
Building an environmentally-friendly structure suiting the Park’s environment

Applications should give details of the objectives of the work, the person or persons involved, and the progress to date. The project need not necessarily have been completed provided that tangible progress has been made. Entries should be submitted by March 31st 2011 and will be judged by a panel of members of the Association and the National Park. An award of up to £500 contributed jointly by the Association and the National Park Authority will be made to the winning entry in June 2011.
