NYMA Juniper Project
The Association became involved in the Juniper Regeneration Programme started by Peter Woods with its origins back in 1995. The project is aimed at replenishing the very few surviving Juniper trees in the National Park because there is no sign of natural regeneration. The first planting of Juniper began with 30 young trees in 2002 and has continued each year since then involving many schools in the area. Without this programme it is very likely the Juniper would disappear from the North York Moors.
