We run a regular programme of walks across the year. Many of our members are knowledgeable about the moors and enjoy sharing that knowledge with others through guided walks. We also enjoy the support of many local landowners who allow us access to enjoy informative visits throughout the year. If you'd like to join one of the walks please get in touch with the walk leader beforehand to check the times, dates and on-the-day arrangements.

NYMA is a campaigning body, with a voice at national level through the Council for National Parks. As part of our role locally, we have regular consultation meetings with senior officers of the North York Moors National Park Authority. We are able to contribute to debates about key issues and are often invited to add our views as part of the decision making process. We also have a voice through the local media, helping to raise public awareness of matters which may detrimentally affect the Park and the communities living and working within it.
